A visit to the Klondike.....or South Dakota!

Tyler and I flew to South Dakota this past friday to visit with the grandparents and to be here while Grandpa LaValle has his next chemo treatment and CT scan. I was so excited because when we landed in Sioux Falls we had SNOW! Lots of it too! I think my family is upset with me, because I was praying for it. It is VERY cold here, but we don't mind. The high the day we landed was 7 above, and the low was -8. Brrr! We have had a lazy weekend in preparation for the week ahead, which will be filled with doctor and chemo appointments. But, nevertheless, we have been having a good dose of fun! First stop when we got here was Nick's! And, I even ate fish at the Valley's Friday night fish fry. Haddock, to be exact. My newest knit is a hat for Grandpa's balding chemo head, he says it's nice but it's too big, so I will have to think of a way to make it smaller. Other than that, we have been enjoying the snow and the warmth of family.

Out to my aunt and uncle's farm.

Fergi and Tinkerbell didn't like the 30+ mph wind and blowing snow

This horse is saying, "Hurry up with my food, I don't like this weather!"

Yum, Yum.....food!

Snow was deep! Almost halfway up my calf!

Look very closely to see the sun dog in the right side of the pic. I am told you only see them when it's very cold out.......uh, really?
